LingostemTM

LingostemTM are plant stem cells obtained from Lingonberry (Vaccinium vitis-idaea) rich in polyphenols with protective and repairing properties against the damaging effects of sun radiation. Lingonberry is considered a“superfruit”, rich in vitamin C and E (tocopherol), with photoprotective properties.

LINGOSTEM™ is a multiple antiphotoaging strategy. Prevents and repairs skin damage caused by UV and IR radiation: wrinkles and spots, loss of firmness, dehydration, roughness.

Triple action against sun aggression:

1. Direct antioxidant action: especially for its high content of polyphenols.
2. Antioxidant cellular response enhancer: enhances the natural antioxidant mechanism of the cell.
3. UVB radiation induced inflammation reduction: reduces mediators of inflammation processes produced by UVB radiation

An in vitro test demonstrated the protective ability of Lingostem™ against the harmful effects of UVB and IRA radiation. It was observed:

• Increase of the SOD antioxidant enzyme synthesis, more protection against oxidative stress
• Reduction of oxidative stress produced by IRA radiation.
• Decreased MMP 1 enzyme synthesis, which degrades collagen fibers.
• Reduction of cellular inflammation mechanism caused by UVB radiation.

In vivo tests showed the following results:

• 35% reduction in the number of wrinkles
• 24% increase in skin density
• 13% reduction in wrinkle volume
• 13% increase in skin moisturization
• 44% reduction in cellular oxidative stress

LINGOSTEM™ also protects the skin from Blue Light. Blue light can penetrate deeper on our skin than UV radiation. It can produce ROS (Reactive Oxygen Species) that lead to photoaging.
